Susan J. Klein earned her master's of fine arts at Kent State University in Ohio.
She has been a Florida landscape artist since 1990, concentrating her work on arboreal and riparian images found at Myakka River State Park. In recent years she has broadened her scope with several artist-in-residencies at national parks from Maine to California.
Recently her Myakka-themed painting "Resurrection Fern" was displayed for two years in the American Ambassador's residence in Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of the State Department's Art in Embassies program.
